Accomplishment :]

I finished Ashley's hat tonight! So excited! I haven't made a hat in a while. I did more than 50% in combination style, then I was knitting in the dark and I kept dropping stitched so I opted to go back to the regular method. Bella my build-a-bear panda would like to model it for you. It's a basic knit hat. I am thinking of adding a flower or something to it. I never made a flower before though. 

So, me and Rob went to the mall. I couldn't find itty bitty toys! :[ I was so sad. But we did go to Gentle Jungle, our pet store in the mall. We took out two amazing dogs which I wanted. Well, I wanted the bull dog anyways. He was a little boy and so precious! But, he is $2800 wayyyy too much to spend on a dog. People are ridiculous to charge that much! The German sheperd was $1400. Like, some cars don't cost that kind of money!

So then we went to target and that was fun. But in the car we tried thinking of knitting to driving analogies and this is what we came up with:

Tomorrow on break I'll be going to Betty's again. Hopefully I'll finish the spots on the giraffe & I can put her together too. I'm trying to thing of a good name for her before I send her to her new home. I don't like Giraffe-y too much. I think it should be like Gigi or Gertie. Those are two of my mom's aunts that past away before I was born, but I always loved those names. Gigi Giraffe. I think I like it. Or GeeGee Giraffe. (GG?) Idk. But It'll be hilarious. :]

Tomorow, also may be starting my slippers finally! Betty said she would help me!

Yarn Addict Alert

I just got back from Betty's with the following: cascade soft spun in purple jewel, boku color 13, encore tweed in a gray with brown/black/white specks, and nashua wooly stripes in jungle green. I also paid for my class and Tante Mimi's and I bought Knitted and Felted Toys by Zoe Halstead. I can't wait to get started on everything. I can't start my mittens until tomorrow night during the olympics so tonight I'm going to make an owlie. Then once the owlie is done I'm going to make 2 baby hearts. One for my robby and one to send to Mrs. Bailey along with her valentine. :] Then I have to get a start on all these things people want made! I'm going to try to squish everything in before the end of the month so I can focus soley on the blanket during March. Also, Betty is going to find someone to fix Blankie for me!!! I'm so excited. She's had a big rip in her for years and I never knew what to do about it. But since I don't crochet I brought it to Betty today (I even washed her before we went) and Betty said she'll find someone. I don't want to part with her even for one night but Robby said either we can have a sleepover or I can borrow his baby blanket that he doesn't sleep with anymore. I think I can do it. I have to be brave! i got my haircut this afternoon too. after i fixed it i started to like it but before i just didn't like it. i felt like an old person. :/ but now it'd looking a lot better. I straightened my bangs and put a clip in.

i finished an owlet tonight <3 Can't wait to make a ton more.

Mr. Piggy Wig had a son!

I made the second Mr. Piggy-wig for Tony's niece and he came out awesome. I think he's slightly better than the last one. I decided to sew the legs before i stuffed because last time it took me forever to sew his legs up. And i didn't do trouser turn-up. But i did do the eyes better. And i adore the color scheme since it is for a girl. The bernier boys loved it lol. they were impressed at my project a day skills last night.

I'm working on a slouchy boku hat with a brown band. It looks like a bush since the main color is green lol. Or a tree. Something nature-y.

I have to figure out a plan for knitting the baby blanket. I have until April 9. That's more than a month away. I decided to do the alphabet plus a pooh and a tigger. That equals 28 squares. which means it'll be a 7x4 blanket. Which will take 28 days at most to make, march has 31 days so I should start March 1st in case baby-wheeler comes earlier than expected.

I can't wait to find out if Corrin, my fieldwork coordinator is going to let me work at Betty's. I want to take in as much as I can while I'm there and benefit from the experience of thinking like an OT but also figuring out the best way to incorporate knitting into OT or vice-versa.

I want this knitting tattoo. it's very artsy and I'm in love with it. I think I would get it on my shoulder? maybe on my other foot. that would hurt a lot but I think it would look amazing in either spot. :]

i feel like i want to start taking pictures more. I want to start taking pictures of my yarn and things i've made at artistic angles. maybe i can start doing that during my hours at the shop. i have to make an advertisement for them for my final anyways. I might as well make it as artistic as possible! I can't wait to get started thiswill be the highlight of the semester. PLEASE CORRIN LET ME LIVE A LITTLE!!!

Mr. Piggywig has been born

So I finished Mr. Piggy-wig, he's pretty adorable actually. I was kinda surprised. I wanna make one for myself. ha ha. Now my friend Tony wants one for his niece! How cool! I'm pretty pumped that people want stuff from me! I'm still trying to find a giraffe pattern for Tyler's Aubrey. I found one, but I don't like it. I also finished Teige's hat today as well. I'm going to make Ty's hat tomorrow. Then Thursday I'm going to work on the bathing suit top and then I'm going to work on a hat for Lauren & then another Mr. Piggy-wig. I love to knit! I am going to Betty's Thursday to sign up for the class. I can't wait!!!
