Life Changes

I was going to just start a whole new blog but I decided to just continue this one. I need to make a new banner and everything soon though.

Well, me and Mike decided that living together and being a couple just wasn't working so I moved back in with my parents with Dahlia and he's staying in the house and he sees her on the weekends. The situation is working out good for the most part.

It's different being alone with Dahlia, I have great family and friends for support but it's a big change and it's been rough. Me and Dahlia have been having such a good time but now I need to get a job and make things better for us.

We just got back from a week long trip to arkansas with Mike and Dahlia's uncle Kyle to visit her Uncle Nate. We had so much fun and Dahlia did so good on the plane.

Then me and her took a solo trip to Maine for the weekend to meet her cousin Caralynn and visit my sister and other niece Maddelynn.

An update on Dahlia: she's 7 months and 16 pounds now and she's a wild girl. She's eating oatmeal and any finger foods as well as toast, and some other snacks. She refuses normal baby food for some odd reason. She pulls herself up to stand in her crib she sits for very extended periods of time and plays very well independently and loves other kids. she loves elmo and music and she dances now. she shakes her head no and shes been waving occasionally. her favorite toys are her stuffed elmo and her stuffed boo doll. she loves to skype her uncle in arkansas and shes pretty good with a sippy cup.

Knitting update: still doing the monster thing. I'm working on a scarf for myself right now & then I want to do two at a time socks. I bought some yarn in Arkansas and I think I'm going to make a mini Harold monster out of that and I got some blue and green yarn from Bayberry Knitting in Plainville CT to make a monkey and a pair of mittens and maybe some booties for Dahlia.

I want to try to start blogging a lot more. I'll try to think of some creative ideas for blog posts. I am starting 30 Day Shred tomorrow so I may start blogging about my progress with that too. I'm down to 140 pounds now 5 pounds less that pre pregnancy my goal is 125. 15 left. Once I finish 30 Day Shred I want to join the local gym and start doing some crossfit style workouts. Need to get in shape before Dahlia starts running around.

PROGRESS!!

  1. I've noticed your quietness. I'm sorry things got rocky for you. You are dealing with these changes well and you're a terrific mum. Dahlia is adorable. Stay strong and hugs.
