Mindless Monday

I've been slacking again but dahlia keeps me pretty busy.

I decided to start this along with my other days because I have all these mindless projects in my WIPs that I only do in the car or watching tv.

This is a scrap scarf I started once they started the pitocin in the hospital. I didn't get very far at all. But I finally finished it. And I used the majority of my scrap balls. The rest are all too big for a scrap scarf so idk what they will become.

I love making these because I love planning the next colors. I was going to try to color block it but I had so much of one blue I didn't want it to look weird. So I just did it randomly.

Now I'm working on a scarf my Memere started during our movie nights. I miss watching old musicals with her and I hope I can carry that tradition in her honor with my own grand kids. I marked where she stopped and where I began and I have a small ball and a whole skein of this color left. I'm not sure how long I want it since its so wide. I finished the tiny ball pictured here and I started the bigger one. The skein is somewhere in my stash.

We took dahlia up to Mike's uncles house this weekend and she went swimming. She's just a little dolphin this kid. She loves anything to do with water. Just like her dad. Her grandma watched her while we went out on the boat and mike and Kyle went tubing. It was hilarious to watch. Next time I'll bring a camera on the boat.

Today I'm off to southington to spend the day with my family and some girlfriends. Just waiting for dahlia to be done eating

I'm writing this post from my phone so we will see how adding pictures works. (that was a bust guess I have to type it on my phone and upload the pictures on the computer or I get an error oh well)

  1. The scrap scarf is fun, Em! It'll be such a nice pop of color on a grey day. Very cool to finish a scarf your Mamere had started. Bittersweet too yeah?
What a fancy bottom for a pool; how fun. Good to get her acclimated to the water early. Swimming is such a life skill.
I love how you've taken so well to motherhood. You're doing so well and you're such a natural. I'm proud of you.

    1. You're awesome :] It is bittersweet I wish she could have finished it herself and have met Dahlia but we always see butterflies so i think its her watching us. Mike's uncle is a caretaker for these super rich people the fancy bottom is the shallow end then it goes super deep. I love being a mommy it's the best thing that's ever happened to me <3
