I made 2 slouchy hats this week. my own design. anne wanted one and then i made one for myself with some boku but jillian said she’d buy it off me. i wish i could start a business. selling hats. so anne’s hat is purple on the bottom & it has a navy body. jillians has a brown trim/bottom and a blue/red/green boku body. both are rly cute.
tmrw i’ll see lindsay and we can talk about her hat & the flowers she’s been crocheting. :]i also have to e-mail UCONN about the cuddling program & I have to meet the bernier kids so i can babysit friday. :] pretty excited to start babysitting hard core again. i’m trying to save up my moneyz, i rly wanna take a knitting class with tante mimi in a couple weeks. a continental knitting class. seems like fun. i wanna research it more.
Knitting with the yarn in one’s left hand is commonly referred to as Continental knitting, German knitting, European knitting, or left-hand knitting. Unlike English knitting, the yarn is held in the left hand; the motion of bringing the yarn forward with a needle held in the other hand is thus sometimes known as picking. Continental knitting is preferred by professional hand-knitters, as it is the more efficient method, requiring the shortest number of specific hand-motions per stitch.
i wanna be a proffesional knitter!
i also want to go here: http://www.lionbrandyarnstudio.com/
it’s a dream come true.
